    This book is therefore addressed to engineers and non-engineers alike, who are engaged in controlling indoor air pollution. This book is written as: a textbook for university senior-level and graduate-level courses in mechanical, civil, chemical, environmental, architectural, mining, agricultural, and biomedical engineering, and in industrial. It is hoped that the book will also provide a basis for scientists and technicians working on the development of new and better investigative methods – and there is still much to do! Of course, much more can be said about each method than can be done within the framework of this book.

    Second, both lack of development and the development process itself have caused and continue to cause environmental degradation. Poverty is still rampant.
